It was this past January that I first went to your store. The one I went to was in Braintree. The customer service and quality cannot be beat. You have the best customer service of any store going!

One of the shirts I bought still had the security tag on it. I called and left a message with what I thought was just customer service. Later in the day I got a return phone call from this “customer service” person. It was agreed that I could bring the shirt in for the tag removal and that there would be something there for me for my troubles. Well  I went the next Saturday and was pleasantly surprised to receive a 25 dollar gift card. But my biggest surprise was that the person whom I had talked to on the phone was the president of the company, my God you can’t get better customer service than that!

Let me tell you a little story. I brought some shirts back to exchange them because they were too large. The young lady who had sold them to me, saw me as I walked by. We did not speak. While I was at the register explaining to another person what  I wanted to do, this young lady had gone to the shirts and picked out mediums for me and brought them to the register.  I was totally amazed!

You have made Christmas, Fathers Day, and Birthday shopping easy for my wife and kids, they have standing orders to get me Milton’s gift certicates.

Hey Dana!

I am a sales rep for IBM - so dressing up is a part of my job. I had the pleasure of working with two of your employee's today - Timothy Gaines and Alberta Rogers (in your Chestnut Hill store). We strted out by shopping for a single suite (for about $600), shirt and tie... I left the store today with 1 suit, 2 sport coats, 4 shirts, 4 pairs of pants, ties, shoes and belts.

Tim and Alberta worked with me for a good part of the morning - they were the EXCELLENT at helping me find out what I needed / what looked GREAT.

I had planned on buying a couple of items at Miltons and then head across the street to Bloomingdales to finish up my shopping. Needless to say, Tim and Alberta kept me from going across the street with their attention to detail and focuing on the needs of the customer.

THEY ARE EXCELLENT employees that deserved to be regognized for their work. They earned Milton's an extra 1500+ dollars in sales due to their work. I wanted to write you a email and let you know the caliber of your employees.

Terrific customer service recently from Richard Plunk in the Chestnut Hill store! I needed to replace a winter coat that was stolen from a NYC hotel, and I needed an unusual size (42XL). Richard came to the rescue with a special order (with a little help from you, I understand), and I am now the proud owner of a new coat. The whole thing only took a week or so, during the busy Christmas holiday. Many thanks to you and your entire team. Happy Milton’s results, as always.

Dear Mr. Katz,

Let me preface this e-mail by apologizing for not sending it sooner. A little over a month ago, I lost my brother-in-law to cancer and my husband Jonathan, his brother Jacob and my two sons needed to be outfitted for suits. We were expecting the impending tragedy but had no way of knowing when it would happen. With all the other things surrounding the arrangements, the suits were an after thought.

The day before the wake, my husband and I decided to make the trip to your Chestnut Hill store. My husband, you must understand, works in construction and barely wears a suit so we just needed a quick fix. I walked in and was immediately greeted by Adam Ringius, a manager at this location. He greeted us with a smile and asked if he could be of any assistance. I told him our situation and without hesitation, he led us upstairs and treated us with the greatest of sensitivity and made the experience both comfortable and inviting. He was able to quickly determine my husband's size and suggested a ralph lauren suit separate which allowed my husband to get the style suit he was looking for (a basic black suit-for weddings, wakes and funerals and more importantly our current situation) and alleviate the need for alterations. After trying on the suit and being assured of its fit, Adam brought us back downstairs and set us up with a beautiful shirt and tie combo which suited our needs and to my surprise, my husband actually enjoyed his experience (thats a lot for a man who hates to shop-a very hard feat indeed).

I would love to say our story stopped there and we were happily ever after, but our experience got even better. After explaining to Adam the situation with my brother-in-law and my sons, he suggested we bring them in as well and he would ensure that the three of them were outfitted and sized that evening. We were so impressed and overwhelmed by Adam's kindness and helpfulness that we returned home and grabbed our sons and my brother-in-law. Again, we were greeted by Adam's smiling face and he just made the experience so painless. I was so grateful that my guys were in his hands because it helped me focus more on what was important and allowed me to alleviate some pressure off myself by leaving the clothing matters to your expert manager and his capable hands. He made sure that all four of my guys were dressed both appropriately and to perfection for the funeral. I would like to personally thank Adam and wanted to pass on my wonderful experience to you. It is not often that one is extended service to the extent that Adam provided for us and in our situation, it was so helpful. I hope that you will excuse my lateness on this notice, but i feel that it is of the utmost importance that you are aware of how great an experience we had in your store. I have always heard great things about Miltons and now i can help to spread the news of Adam, your Chestnut Hill location and the overall experience your store has to offer. Thank you Mr. Katz for creating such an innovative system and store, and for keeping people like Adam who go above and beyond the call of duty, seemingly bending over backwards to ensure both our comfort and satisfaction in a time of need. You have surely gained customers for life in my family and any of our friends. Be assured that I cannot even put into words the debt of gratitude that i owe to you, Adam and your fine establishment. I’m not sure you are the correct person, but I wanted to pass along my sincere ‘thank you’ to Milton’s. I took my 16 year old son into the store this past w.e. and within moments we were pleasantly greeted and immediately assisted. My son was dressed top to shoes –he’s going to look fantastic at his function and all at a reasonable price.

You don’t find this type of style and service in the mall stores.

I was recently in your South Shore Plaza Store and was very impressed with the service received. I have been an infrequent customer of Milton's for many years, but after the service I received on Thursday 2/22 I will be a loyal one.

To sum up my experience, we were purchasing my son's first suit. We were originally greeted by Brandon, brought upstairs and helped by Tina and finally finished with Timothy Gaines. Every step of the way was pleasant and well handled by your staff. My son was thrilled!!

You also probably know you customer service is off the charts, especially Tim… I was at Chestnut Hill today and he had three or four customers with him and he still found a way to attend to my needs and get me in and out swiftly… Many times in business you don’t hear from people unless it’s a complaint, but I wanted to drop a compliment because he deserves it… I truly enjoy visiting your stores whether I’m purchasing clothing items or just window shopping… You have a warm and welcoming staff…

I wanted to drop you a note to thank you again for your great customer service (I was the guy you helped pick out the nice tie and shirt combination last night in Braintree). I told my wife and friends this morning that I got my new shirt and tie picked-out by the ultimate expert -- they were impressed! I don't get to shop as much for myself as I'd like (seems the wife and kids gobble up those discretionary funds!). But, when I do shop, I always go to Miltons. In fact, I work close to Downtown Crossing and it would be easy to go to Macy's or Filene's Basement, but I always go to Miltons for the very reason you demonstrated last night - your staff always does a really nice job making sure I get a great fit and look and I feel good about. Congratulations on the quality of customer service that David gave my husband, Winston this Sunday. My husband, who cannot easily buy clothes off of the rack (he wears a size 52 jacket) discovered that the board presentations he has to make this Thursday and Friday in Fort Myers were business formal, not casual. We had spent some time looking at men's warehouse (dreadful fabric quality/style and when the trousers my husband tried on were ballooning ala 1982, the sales person shrugged and said,'that's how they fit') and Caps (8-12 weeks to order custom suits) when I reminded him of his last positive shopping experience at your Chestnut Hill store. From the moment that David greeted us until he shook my husband's hand when we left, he was exactly what one would hope for in a salesperson- knowledgeable, personable,honest and most importantly, he put my husband at ease with his body in your clothing. Almost $3,000 later (3 gorgeous Joseph Aboud suits, 2 pairs of trousers for jackets he already owns, a raincoat and three ties-- all of which will be tailored to fit by this evening), my husband is outfitted for his meetings this week and for future business trips abroad. Please commend David for a job well done.

I just wanted to thank you and several of your staff for helping me through a recent wardrobe crisis. I recently changed jobs and was informed, at orientation, that the dress code was business attire. This tidbit had not previously been conveyed and was a problem because my business attire wardrobe has decreased significantly since my former employer made the change to business casual in 1998. As a result, there I was on the evening of January 3rd trying on every 46 regular suit in your Braintree store. My sales associate, Jose, was extremely helpful and patient throughout this ordeal. That evening I made several purchases and made plans to return the following evening. In addition to finding the items that you personally brought from your Chestnut Hill store to my liking, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the tailoring on the items from the previous night had been completed several days in advance. All told I've now augmented my existing business attire (all purchased at Miltons) with a total of 4 suits, 2 blazers, 3 shirts and 5 ties and could not be happier with my experience. As a long time customer of you store I was very impressed with the lengths that you and your staff went in order to help me with my situation. Rest assured I will continue to be one of your customers for a very long time and will take every opportunity to recommend Miltons to friends, family and colleagues. In addition to Jose and yourself, I'd also like recognize Rose Collins and Mark Sarkis for their efforts as well.

I have been a customer of Miltons since I bought my first suit 18 years ago. This afternoon I called the Braintree store looking to see if they had any size 33x30 of Kenneth Cole slacks. The woman that answered my phone call is named Ruth. Ruth gladly checked the racks to see if there were any in stock and within minutes told me she had 3 in hand. I asked her if she could send the slacks to Newton where it would be more convenient for me to pick them up. She said “no problem.”

At 7:15pm the same day, Ruth called me at my home to let me know that the slacks had arrived at the Newton store(she brought them to the store herself) and at my convenience I could pick them up.

While 18 years of shopping at the same store might seem as though I am a loyal customer, it’s employee’s like Ruth that go far and beyond their call of duty to provide the best customer service which makes me “that loyal customer.”

While price is always important when shopping for clothes, it’s people like Ruth that have customers like me coming back year after year. Big thanks to your organization for hiring Ruth!

Great service as well as great prices! What else could a customer ask for???
